FAQs
Is this Ingco planer supplied as body only?
Yes. This listing is for the tool body only. Batteries and charger are not included, but a socket wrench and parallel guide are included.
Which batteries does it use?
It is designed to run on all Ingco 20V PowerShare batteries including FBLI2001, FBLI20011 and other compatible models in the Ingco 20V range.
What can a cordless planer be used for?
It is commonly used for trimming doors to fit, levelling timber surfaces, smoothing wooden boards, removing paint or old finishes, chamfering edges, creating rebates (up to 8mm), and general carpentry and joinery work.
Are planer blades included?
Yes. The tool comes with pre-installed TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) reversible blades. When one edge dulls, you can reverse the blades to use the sharp edge.
Is it suitable for trade use?
Yes, the brushless motor, heavy-duty aluminum base and professional-grade construction make it suitable for both trade carpentry applications and demanding DIY projects.
Can it be used for door trimming?
Yes, cordless planers are ideal for door trimming and fitting tasks. The 82mm planing width and adjustable depth (0-2mm) provide excellent control for precise door fitting work.
Does it have adjustable cutting depth?
Yes. The CRLI20401 features adjustable planing depth from 0-2mm, controlled by a depth adjustment knob at the front of the tool. It also offers rebate depth capability up to 8mm for creating recesses.
Do I need anything else to use it?
You will need an Ingco 20V battery and a compatible charger. The tool includes blades (pre-installed), a socket wrench for blade changes, and a parallel guide for edge work, so you can start planing immediately once the battery is charged.
Do you sell batteries and blades?
Yes. Ingco 20V batteries, chargers and replacement 82mm planer blades are available separately.
How do I change the planer blades?
Remove the battery first. Use the included socket wrench to loosen the blade holder screws. Carefully remove the blades, reverse them to use the fresh edge (or fit new blades), ensure they're properly seated, and tighten the screws securely with the socket wrench.
What is the planing width?
The planing width is 82mm, allowing you to remove material efficiently across a wide surface area with each pass.
What does brushless motor mean?
A brushless motor uses electronic control instead of carbon brushes, providing greater efficiency, more power, longer runtime per charge, extended tool life, and virtually no maintenance compared to traditional brushed motors.
