How to use

  • Prepare your paint: Check the paint manufacturer's recommendations for spraying. Most paints need thinning for spray application. Use the included viscosity measuring cup to test consistency. For optimal results, paint should flow smoothly through the cup within 20-30 seconds. Thin with water (for water-based paints) or appropriate thinner following paint manufacturer guidelines.
  • Strain the paint: Pour thinned paint through a fine mesh strainer or paint filter into the 1000ml container to remove any lumps or debris that could clog the nozzle.
  • Select and install the appropriate copper nozzle: Choose the 1.5mm nozzle for fine finishes and thin materials (lacquers, stains); use the 2.5mm nozzle for thicker coatings and faster coverage (latex paints, primers).
  • Attach the paint container: Screw the filled container securely onto the spray gun body.
  • Insert a charged Ingco 20V battery (not included) into the spray gun until it clicks securely. Higher capacity batteries (4.0Ah) provide extended runtime for larger projects.
  • Test and adjust settings: Before spraying your project, test on cardboard or scrap material. Adjust the flow control knob to set the paint flow rate. Adjust the spray pattern control to select vertical, horizontal, or circular spray pattern based on your surface. Adjust the spray amplitude to control the spray width.
  • Prepare the work area: Mask off areas you don't want painted using masking tape. Cover floors and furniture with drop cloths. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Optional dust blowing: Before painting, attach the dust blower nozzle and use the tool to blow away dust, sawdust, and debris from the surface for better paint adhesion.
  • Spraying technique: Hold the spray gun 15-25cm (6-10 inches) from the surface. Keep the gun perpendicular to the surface and maintain a consistent distance. Start the trigger motion before reaching the surface and release after passing the edge to avoid buildup. Use smooth, overlapping passes (overlap by 50%) moving at a steady speed. Apply multiple thin coats rather than one thick coat for best results.
  • Monitor paint level: The large 1000ml container reduces refilling frequency, but monitor the level and refill as needed to maintain consistent spray performance.
  • Clean immediately after use: Proper cleaning is critical. Empty remaining paint back into its container. Fill the container with appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, solvent for oil-based). Spray cleaning solution through the gun until it runs clear. Disassemble the nozzle and clean with the included cleaning needle. Wipe down all parts and allow to dry.
  • Wear appropriate PPE (respirator or dust mask, safety glasses, gloves) and follow Ingco safety guidance. Work in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhaling paint mist.

Care & maintenance

  • Clean the spray gun thoroughly immediately after each use - dried paint can permanently clog the system.
  • Remove the battery before cleaning or storage.
  • Flush the system completely with suitable cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, appropriate solvent for oil-based materials) until spray runs completely clear.
  • Disassemble and clean the nozzles (1.5mm, 2.5mm, dust blower) using the included cleaning needle to remove any paint residue.
  • Clean the 1000ml paint container thoroughly and check for paint buildup around seals and threads.
  • Inspect the nozzles for wear or damage before each use and replace if necessary.
  • Store dry and protected from damage with all parts clean and free from paint residue.
  • Never immerse the spray gun motor housing in liquid - clean externally only with a damp cloth.

FAQs

Is this Ingco spray gun supplied as body only?

Yes. This listing is for the spray gun body only. Batteries and charger are not included, but 2 copper nozzles (1.5mm & 2.5mm), dust blower nozzle, viscosity measuring cup, nozzle cleaning needle, and 1000ml paint container are included.

Which batteries does it use?

It is designed to run on all Ingco 20V PowerShare batteries including FBLI2001, FBLI20011, FBLI2002 (4.0Ah) and other compatible models in the Ingco 20V range. Higher capacity batteries (4.0Ah) provide longer runtime for extended painting sessions.

What can a cordless paint spray gun be used for?

Cordless paint spray guns are used for painting interior walls and ceilings, furniture finishing and restoration, door and window painting, fence and deck staining, cabinet refinishing, applying varnish and lacquer, primer application, and general decorating tasks. They provide faster, more even coverage than brushes or rollers with a professional-quality finish.

Are spray nozzles included?

Yes. The CSGLI2004 includes 2 copper nozzles (1.5mm for fine finishes and thin materials, 2.5mm for thicker coatings and faster coverage) plus a dust blower nozzle for surface preparation and cleaning.

Is it suitable for decorating work?

Yes, it is designed specifically for decorating and finishing tasks. It handles water-based paints, latex, emulsions, stains, varnishes, lacquers and primers (with appropriate thinning) making it suitable for interior decorating, furniture refinishing, and outdoor wood treatment.

Do I need to thin paint before spraying?

Yes, most paints require thinning for spray application. Use the included viscosity measuring cup to test consistency. Thin with water (for water-based paints) or appropriate solvent following the paint manufacturer's guidelines. Properly thinned paint flows smoothly, atomizes evenly, and prevents nozzle clogs.

Is it suitable for trade use?

Yes, it is suitable for both professional trade decorators and DIY users. The 1000ml container capacity, dual nozzle sizes, adjustable controls, and cordless operation make it practical for professional painting and finishing work, though high-volume commercial applications may require larger capacity systems.

Do you sell batteries and accessories?

Yes. Ingco 20V batteries (including higher capacity 4.0Ah options), chargers, replacement nozzles, and decorating accessories are available separately.

What is the difference between the 1.5mm and 2.5mm nozzles?

The 1.5mm nozzle produces a finer spray pattern ideal for thin materials (stains, lacquers, varnishes) and detailed finishing work requiring smooth, professional results. The 2.5mm nozzle produces a broader spray pattern for thicker materials (latex paints, primers) and faster coverage on larger surfaces like walls and fences.

Can I use this as a dust blower?

Yes. The CSGLI2004 includes a dust blower nozzle, allowing you to use the tool for blowing away dust, sawdust, and debris from surfaces before painting, cleaning workshops, or clearing hard-to-reach areas.

What types of paint can I use?

The spray gun handles materials up to 120DIN-s viscosity, including water-based paints, latex, emulsions, acrylic paints, wood stains, varnishes, lacquers, primers, and clear coats. Always thin materials appropriately and test viscosity with the included measuring cup. Oil-based paints require appropriate thinners and thorough cleaning with solvents.

How do I clean the spray gun?

Clean immediately after use: Empty remaining paint, fill the container with appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, solvent for oil-based), spray solution through the gun until clear, disassemble and clean the nozzles with the included cleaning needle, wipe all parts, and allow to dry. Never allow paint to dry inside the spray gun.

What is the difference between this and the CSGLI20406?

The CSGLI2004 is a body-only tool with a larger 1000ml container and includes 2 copper nozzles plus dust blower nozzle, while the CSGLI20406 is a complete kit with 800ml container, 2.0Ah battery, charger, and 2 copper nozzles. Both have the same specifications (800ml/min flow, 120DIN-s viscosity, 0.1-0.2 Bar pressure). Choose the CSGLI2004 if you already own Ingco 20V batteries and prefer the larger 1000ml capacity.

How long does the battery last?

Battery runtime depends on paint viscosity, flow rate settings, and spraying technique. A 2.0Ah battery typically provides 30-60 minutes of continuous spraying, while a 4.0Ah battery offers extended runtime for full-day use. For larger projects, consider purchasing a spare battery to swap and maintain continuous workflow.
