What's included

  • 1 × Ingco 20V cordless heat gun (HGLI20025)
  • 1 × 20V 4.0Ah battery pack (FBLI2002)
  • 1 × Fast intelligent charger (FCLI2001E)
  • 1 × Reduction nozzle (for concentrated heat in tight spaces)
  • 1 × Reflector nozzle (for uniform heating of pipes and tubes)
  • 1 × Flat nozzle (for wide area coverage)
  • 1 × Carrying case

How to use

  • Select and fit a suitable nozzle for your application: reduction nozzle for focused heat on small areas; reflector nozzle for heating pipes uniformly; flat nozzle for broad surface coverage. Nozzles attach to the front of the heat gun.
  • Insert the charged 4.0Ah battery into the heat gun until it clicks securely.
  • Select the appropriate temperature setting: 300°C for delicate tasks (heat shrinking, drying, softening adhesives); 550°C for heavy-duty tasks (paint stripping, loosening rusted bolts, removing tiles).
  • Select the appropriate airflow setting: 100 L/min for precision work with controlled heat distribution; 200 L/min for faster heating over larger areas.
  • Turn on the tool and allow it to reach operating temperature (heats up in seconds).
  • Hold the heat gun 2-3 inches from the work surface and move it continuously in a sweeping motion to distribute heat evenly. Never hold it stationary on one spot to avoid scorching or fire.
  • For paint stripping: Apply heat until paint bubbles and blisters, then use a scraper to remove softened paint. Work in small sections.
  • For heat shrinking: Apply heat evenly around the tubing or connector until it shrinks to the desired size.
  • For loosening bolts: Direct heat at the nut or bolt for 30-60 seconds to expand the metal, making it easier to remove.
  • Monitor the low battery indicator and swap to a fresh battery if needed for continuous work.
  • When finished, turn off the tool and allow the nozzle to cool completely before touching or storing (5-10 minutes).
  • Wear appropriate PPE (heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses) and follow Ingco safety guidance. Never point the heat gun at people, animals, or flammable materials. Work in well-ventilated areas when stripping paint or heating materials that may release fumes.

Care & maintenance

  • Always allow the tool to cool completely before storage (minimum 5-10 minutes after use).
  • Remove the battery before cleaning or storing.
  • Keep air intake and exhaust vents clear of dust and debris for proper airflow and cooling.
  • Clean nozzles regularly to remove paint residue, adhesive buildup, or other deposits.
  • Inspect the power cord (if visible) and nozzles for damage before each use.
  • Store the heat gun, battery, charger and nozzles in the carrying case in a dry place, protected from extreme temperatures.
  • Never immerse the tool in water or use near water.

FAQs

Is this Ingco heat gun supplied as a kit?

Yes. This product is supplied as a complete kit with 1 × 4.0Ah battery (FBLI2002), fast charger (FCLI2001E), 3 nozzles (reduction, reflector, flat), and a carrying case.

Which battery system does it use?

It uses the Ingco 20V PowerShare battery platform. The kit includes one high-capacity 4.0Ah battery (FBLI2002), which is compatible with all Ingco 20V cordless tools.

What can a cordless heat gun be used for?

Cordless heat guns are used for paint stripping, heat-shrinking tubing and pipes, removing adhesive labels and stickers, loosening rusted bolts, drying paint and coatings, thawing frozen pipes, heating and shaping PVC and plastics, removing floor tiles and vinyl, soldering, welding, and general heating or thawing tasks in construction, automotive, electrical, and decorating work.

Are nozzles included?

Yes. The kit includes 3 professional nozzles: reduction nozzle (for concentrated heat in tight spaces), reflector nozzle (for uniform heating of pipes and tubes), and flat nozzle (for wide area coverage).

Is it suitable for trade use?

Yes, the dual temperature settings (300°C/550°C), dual airflow settings, professional nozzles, and cordless operation make it suitable for professional trade applications including decorating, electrical, plumbing, automotive, and construction work, as well as demanding DIY projects.

Does it have multiple temperature settings?

Yes. The HGLI20025 features dual temperature settings: 300°C for delicate tasks and 550°C for heavy-duty applications. It also has dual airflow settings (100/200 L/min) for additional control.

Can it be used for paint stripping?

Yes, heat guns are highly effective for paint stripping when used correctly. Set the tool to 550°C and apply heat to small sections until the paint bubbles and blisters, then use a scraper to remove the softened paint. Work in well-ventilated areas and wear appropriate respiratory protection.

Do you sell spare batteries and accessories?

Yes. Ingco 20V batteries (including the 4.0Ah FBLI2002 and other capacities), chargers, and heat gun accessories (additional nozzles, scrapers) are available separately.

How long does the battery last?

Runtime depends on the temperature and airflow settings used. The high-capacity 4.0Ah battery provides extended runtime compared to standard 2.0Ah batteries. Higher temperature and airflow settings consume more power. For continuous heavy-duty use, consider purchasing spare batteries.

Is it safe to use indoors?

Heat guns can be used indoors with proper precautions: ensure adequate ventilation, especially when stripping paint or heating materials that release fumes; keep away from flammable materials, curtains, and fabrics; never leave unattended while hot; and follow all manufacturer safety guidelines.

What temperature should I use for heat shrinking?

For heat-shrinking tubing, use the 300°C setting with 100 L/min airflow. Apply heat evenly around the tubing while moving the heat gun continuously until the tubing shrinks uniformly. The lower temperature prevents overheating and damage to the tubing or underlying components.

Can it remove floor tiles?

Yes. Set the heat gun to 550°C and apply heat to the grout lines and edges of the tile to soften the adhesive underneath. Use a scraper or chisel to lift the tile once the adhesive has softened. Work in small sections and wear protective gloves.

How do I switch between temperature and airflow settings?

The heat gun features dedicated controls for temperature (300°C/550°C) and airflow (100/200 L/min). Consult the user manual for the specific control layout and operation instructions.
