What's included

  • Ingco 20V brushless cordless angle grinder body (CAGLI21153)
  • Batteries: not included
  • Charger: not included
  • Grinding / cutting discs: not included

How to use

  • Ensure the guard is correctly installed and positioned to protect you from sparks and debris. Adjust it so the closed side faces you during operation.
  • Attach the side handle in a comfortable position for your task.
  • Fit a suitable cutting or grinding disc. Ensure it's rated for the maximum speed of the grinder (9000rpm). Use the spindle lock to secure the spindle, then thread the disc onto the M14 spindle and tighten with the appropriate wrench.
  • Insert a charged Ingco 20V battery (not included) until it clicks securely.
  • Select the appropriate speed using the speed control: 3000rpm for delicate work, 6000rpm for general grinding, 9000rpm for aggressive cutting.
  • Hold the grinder firmly with both hands using the main handle and side handle.
  • Turn on the grinder and allow it to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
  • Apply steady, even pressure. Let the disc do the work - do not force the tool.
  • For cutting, use the edge of the disc at a 90-degree angle. For grinding, use the face of the disc at a 15-30 degree angle.
  • Wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, face shield, gloves, hearing protection, dust mask) and follow Ingco safety guidance.

Care & maintenance

  • Remove the battery before changing discs, adjusting the guard, or cleaning.
  • Keep vents clear of dust and debris for proper motor cooling.
  • Inspect discs regularly before use and replace when worn, damaged, or cracked. Never use a damaged disc.
  • Check the guard and side handle are secure before each use.
  • Clean the tool after use, especially after cutting metal or masonry.
  • Store the tool dry and protected from damage.

FAQs

Is this Ingco angle grinder supplied as body only?

Yes. This listing is for the tool body only. Batteries, charger and cutting/grinding discs are not included.

Which batteries does it use?

It is designed to run on all Ingco 20V PowerShare batteries including FBLI2001, FBLI20011, FBLI20021 (4.0Ah) and other compatible models in the Ingco 20V range.

What does brushless mean on an angle grinder?

A brushless motor uses electronic control instead of carbon brushes, providing greater efficiency, more power, longer runtime per charge, extended tool life, and virtually no maintenance. Brushless angle grinders run cooler, last longer, and deliver more consistent power than brushed models.

What can a cordless angle grinder be used for?

Angle grinders are versatile tools used for cutting metal, steel, rebar, pipes, tiles, stone, and masonry; grinding welds and metal surfaces; removing rust, paint and coatings; sharpening tools; smoothing edges; and surface preparation. The specific application depends on the disc fitted.

Are discs included?

No. Cutting and grinding discs are not included with the body-only format. You will need to purchase appropriate 115mm discs separately based on your intended applications.

Is it suitable for trade use?

Yes, the brushless motor and robust construction make it suitable for both professional trade applications and demanding DIY work. It's designed for metalwork, construction, fabrication, and general maintenance tasks.

Does it support standard angle grinder discs?

Yes. The CAGLI21153 has a standard 115mm (4.5-inch) disc capacity with M14 spindle thread, which is the most common size and fitting for angle grinders. It accepts all standard 115mm cutting discs, grinding discs, diamond blades, flap discs, and wire brushes designed for M14 spindles.

Do I need anything else to use it?

You will need an Ingco 20V battery, a compatible charger, and suitable 115mm angle grinder discs rated for at least 9000rpm. Essential safety equipment includes safety glasses or face shield, gloves, and hearing protection.

Do you sell batteries and discs?

Yes. Ingco 20V batteries, chargers and a full range of 115mm angle grinder accessories (cutting discs, grinding discs, diamond blades, flap discs) are available separately.

What is the difference between the speed settings?

The three variable speeds serve different purposes: 3000rpm for delicate grinding and polishing work; 6000rpm for general grinding, rust removal, and light cutting; 9000rpm for aggressive cutting through metal, masonry, and heavy-duty grinding. Always match the speed to your material and disc type.

What safety features does it have?

Angle grinders typically include safety features such as a protective guard to deflect sparks and debris, a two-position side handle for secure grip, spindle lock for safe disc changes, and overload protection that can stall the motor under excessive load to prevent damage. Always use all safety features and wear appropriate PPE.

Can I use it for cutting tiles or stone?

Yes, with the appropriate diamond cutting disc designed for tiles, stone, concrete, or masonry. Ensure the disc is rated for at least 9000rpm and is specifically designed for the material you're cutting. Use the lower speed settings (3000-6000rpm) for better control when cutting these materials.
