Everbuild General Purpose Silicone Sealant
Everbuild General Purpose Silicone Sealant is a multi-purpose acetoxy cure silicone designed to cure quickly and form a permanently flexible, high strength waterproof seal. It also contains a fungicide to help protect against bacteria, mildew and black mould in high humidity areas.
Supplied as a 280ml cartridge with nozzle, it’s a reliable choice for trade decorators and DIY jobs where you want a clean, durable seal around common household and site applications.

How to use (application guide)

Prep: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and dust-free. Remove loose/flaking coatings and any old sealant/mastic before application.

Degrease where needed: Glass, steel and aluminium should be cleaned with a suitable solvent for optimum adhesion (test a small area first).

Apply: Cut the nozzle to suit bead size and apply using a standard sealant gun. Smooth/tool the bead promptly.

Finish: For a sharper edge, mask either side of the joint and remove the tape within 5 minutes of application.

Cure: Allow to cure (guide: ~2mm per 24 hours). Avoid washing/exposure until cured.
Cleaning & storage

Tool clean-up: Uncured sealant: white spirit. Cured sealant: use a silicone remover type product.

Storage: Store cool and dry between +5°C and +25°C.
Limitations (important)
- Not for aquarium manufacture.
- Not for use in conjunction with bitumen or asphalt.
- Not recommended on highly porous surfaces such as new concrete or stonework (priming may be required; test first).
- Avoid substrates that may bleed oils, solvents or plasticisers.
- Do not use near the edge sealant of double glazed units.
- Not for perimeter pointing of uPVC.
- Do not use on soft metals such as lead and brass.
- Not overpaintable.
