What's included
- Ingco 20V cordless heat gun body (HGLI2006)
- 1 × Reduction nozzle (for concentrated heat in tight spaces)
- 1 × Reflector nozzle (for uniform heating of pipes and tubes)
- 1 × Flat nozzle (for wide area coverage)
- Batteries: not included
- Charger: not included
How to use
- Select and fit a suitable nozzle for your application: reduction nozzle for focused heat on small areas; reflector nozzle for heating pipes uniformly; flat nozzle for broad surface coverage. Nozzles attach to the front of the heat gun.
- Insert a charged Ingco 20V battery (not included) until it clicks securely. Higher capacity batteries (4.0Ah) provide extended runtime for continuous work.
- Select the appropriate temperature setting: 300°C for delicate tasks (heat shrinking, drying, softening adhesives); 550°C for heavy-duty tasks (paint stripping, loosening rusted bolts, removing tiles).
- Select the appropriate airflow setting: 100 L/min for precision work with controlled heat distribution; 200 L/min for faster heating over larger areas.
- Turn on the tool using the slide switch: Position 0 (OFF), Position I (300°C with 100 L/min), Position II (550°C with 200 L/min).
- Allow the heat gun to reach operating temperature (heats up in seconds).
- Hold the heat gun 2-3 inches from the work surface and move it continuously in a sweeping motion to distribute heat evenly. Never hold it stationary on one spot to avoid scorching or fire.
- For paint stripping: Apply heat until paint bubbles and blisters, then use a scraper to remove softened paint. Work in small sections.
- For heat shrinking: Apply heat evenly around the tubing or connector until it shrinks to the desired size.
- For loosening bolts: Direct heat at the nut or bolt for 30-60 seconds to expand the metal, making it easier to remove.
- When finished, turn off the tool (position 0) and allow the nozzle to cool completely before touching or storing (5-10 minutes). Always place the heat gun vertical and standing during cooling.
- Wear appropriate PPE (heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses) and follow Ingco safety guidance. Never point the heat gun at people, animals, or flammable materials. Work in well-ventilated areas when stripping paint or heating materials that may release fumes.
Care & maintenance
- Always allow the tool to cool fully before storage (minimum 5-10 minutes after use). Let it cool for at least 30 minutes after extended use.
- Remove the battery before cleaning or storing.
- Keep air intake and exhaust vents clear of dust and debris for proper airflow and cooling.
- Clean nozzles regularly to remove paint residue, adhesive buildup, or other deposits.
- Inspect nozzles for damage before each use and replace if cracked or deformed.
- Store the heat gun in a dry place, protected from extreme temperatures.
- Never immerse the tool in water or use near water.

FAQs
Is this Ingco heat gun supplied as body only?
Yes. This listing is for the tool body only. Batteries and charger are not included, but 3 nozzles (reduction, reflector, flat) are included.
Which batteries does it use?
It is designed to run on all Ingco 20V PowerShare batteries including FBLI2001, FBLI20011, FBLI2002 (4.0Ah) and other compatible models in the Ingco 20V range. Higher capacity batteries provide extended runtime for continuous work.
What can a cordless heat gun be used for?
Cordless heat guns are used for paint stripping, heat-shrinking tubing and pipes, removing adhesive labels and stickers, loosening rusted bolts, drying paint and coatings, thawing frozen pipes, heating and shaping PVC and plastics, removing floor tiles and vinyl, soldering, welding, and general heating or thawing tasks in construction, automotive, electrical, and decorating work.
Are nozzles included?
Yes. The HGLI2006 includes 3 professional nozzles: reduction nozzle (for concentrated heat in tight spaces), reflector nozzle (for uniform heating of pipes and tubes), and flat nozzle (for wide area coverage).
Is it suitable for trade use?
Yes, the dual temperature settings (300°C/550°C), dual airflow settings, professional nozzles, and cordless operation make it suitable for professional trade applications including decorating, electrical, plumbing, automotive, and construction work, as well as demanding DIY projects.
Does it have multiple temperature settings?
Yes. The HGLI2006 features dual temperature settings: 300°C for delicate tasks and 550°C for heavy-duty applications. It also has dual airflow settings (100/200 L/min) for additional control.
Can it be used for paint stripping?
Yes, heat guns are highly effective for paint stripping when used correctly. Set the tool to 550°C (position II) and apply heat to small sections until the paint bubbles and blisters, then use a scraper to remove the softened paint. Work in well-ventilated areas and wear appropriate respiratory protection.
Do you sell batteries and accessories?
Yes. Ingco 20V batteries (including the 4.0Ah FBLI2002 and other capacities), chargers, and heat gun accessories (additional nozzles, scrapers) are available separately.
What is the difference between this and the HGLI20025?
The HGLI2006 is a body-only tool (no battery or charger included), while the HGLI20025 is a complete kit including a 4.0Ah battery, fast charger, and carrying case. Both have the same specifications (300°C/550°C, 100/200 L/min, 3 nozzles). Choose the HGLI2006 if you already own Ingco 20V batteries.
How do I switch between temperature and airflow settings?
The heat gun features a slide switch with three positions: 0 (OFF), I (300°C with 100 L/min airflow), and II (550°C with 200 L/min airflow). Slide the switch to the desired position for your application.
What temperature should I use for heat shrinking?
For heat-shrinking tubing, use the 300°C setting (position I) with 100 L/min airflow. Apply heat evenly around the tubing while moving the heat gun continuously until the tubing shrinks uniformly. The lower temperature prevents overheating and damage to the tubing or underlying components.
Can it remove floor tiles?
Yes. Set the heat gun to 550°C (position II) and apply heat to the grout lines and edges of the tile to soften the adhesive underneath. Use a scraper or chisel to lift the tile once the adhesive has softened. Work in small sections and wear protective gloves.
Is it safe to use indoors?
Heat guns can be used indoors with proper precautions: ensure adequate ventilation, especially when stripping paint or heating materials that release fumes; keep away from flammable materials, curtains, and fabrics; never leave unattended while hot; and follow all manufacturer safety guidelines.
